Today I am into Pilates 2

Today I feel great, Just worked at the Pilates studio for a few sessions in the Pilates Method of Contrology.

Amazing experience with clients using the Reformer, Caddilac, Wunda Chair, High Chair and Barrel. As Juanita Lopez told me after my exam; Now you can start to learn about 'The art of uncovering the mysteries of the body' To see & start to understand the body in front of me matched with my limited knowledge equals a deepening experience. An insight in the connection between body and mind. . .Reading the body, body language or even the features of the face, ears, hands or feet. I see them as 'remote-controls' for the body. One controls the other, they are 'Interlooped'. A constant motion of cell structures generating and processing the thinking process. These thoughts create a reality when transferred into action. Action provokes reaction and can be consolidated and captured in energy or even vast matter. In the Pilates work there are quite a few exercises that seem so difficult to perform that the only way possible to actually do them is to be 100% focused with all attention on executing the movement. When that special attention is there all else seems to stop existing. That moment there is only one object worthy of our current stream of thoughts, the concentration gives the intention and makes it possible to do what seemed impossible at first. By having a conscious focus you will be more attentive to your body. When you'll notice tension in your muscles you will learn do something about it. Learn to use the right muscles, to have a invigorating posture and these 3 questions: Are you breathing? Are you Relaxed? Are you Elegant? - (Dan Millman) Then thank yourself for breathing, easy & deeply. Thank yourself for coming back to your center and feel solid, grounded and 'here & now'. Last but not least thank you for carrying yourself with dignity and pride, a smile on your face travels a long way

Picture taken 12th of June 2009 we had a good time making pictures at the Pilates studio in Scheveningen / the Hague, the Netherlands. More on the site www.pilates.nl.

That day long time Pilates trainer Henry Rushing told me his goal is to work with (any) person to get them into a state of being able to perform a good, to very good Intermediate Pilates Session.

You could say; If you can make a Intermediate hour session of Authentic Pilates you can pretty much weather any storm.

So in order to reach that 'normal' level of health and control of our body, we will have to start at the Basic Level.

It would be pretty great if all kids would have experience with exercise, a solo- or teamsports activity, martial arts, dance, yoga or the Basic Level in Authentic Pilates.

From age 14 to 16 people should be able to get into Intermediate level.

From playfulness into a structured performance of exercises.

Later at the Advanced Level you will bring back the playfulness based on Control, experience and wisdom.

Freely combine all examples given to fit the individual body/person.

It would be considered being of good health when a person aged 50 - 70 could maintain an Advanced Basic session unless facing restrictions then adjust to age were body-indicated.

At all levels tips&tricks for various positions.

Standing, Sitting, Laying, Walking, Flexing, Stretching.

Seen on the street: The image of a man dressed in sweatsuit, sneakers breathing heavily while pushing against a lamppost, stretching his hamstring is completely accepted in a street scene. That same man dressed in business attire, suit & tie with briefcase stretching to that same lamppost, breathing heavily will most probably pull more attention
